Signature of a partnership between ANPN and HAVILAH MINING GABON

The National Agency for National Parks (ANPN) announces a partnership with the company Havilah Mining Gabon, which aims to exploit an iron deposit in the buffer zone of the Moukalaba-Doudou National Park.

This concerted management partnership aligns with the vision of the Gabonese authorities, which encourages economic operators to reconcile the extraction of natural resources and the conservation of biodiversity. 🌿 The company will support the maintenance of the integrity of the Moukalaba-Doudou National Park through a conservation effort allowing the Agency to ensure that iron extraction activities are consistent with sustainable development.

The ANPN wishes to collaborate with companies operating park authorities through concerted management contracts, in accordance with articles 15, 17 and 22 of Law No. 003/2007 relating to national parks. By signing this agreement, Havilah Mining Gabon has shown its commitment to supporting conservation, environmental protection, strengthening the fight against poaching and monitoring the park. 🚫🐘👮♂️
