Charles Matthews is a Certified accountant practitioner with over 30 years’ extensive experience in both accounting and Finance; Charles has ability to design a robust organizational structure, with strict operational and financial control, budget monitoring. Previously Managing Director of Gerling Global Reinsurance Company of South Africa, and served as a director of various insurance Companies.

Charles has served as a director of various Companies, which specialised in the managing of insurance and reinsurance related run-off operations. Previous experience includes providing consulting services to a wide range of private and corporate clients, specialising in tax planning and financial structuring, as well as a comprehensive range of accounting and related services to small and medium sized organizations, trusts and partnerships.

During the time spent at short term insurance companies, he has developed a specific focus on creating value by actively participating and advising in the investment portfolio management of the insurer’s assets, to enhance shareholder’s value.
