Exploratory work for the Milingui Iron Ore project
The Milingui Iron Ore project, is located in the Tchibanga area in Gabon close to the future Mayumba port. Historically, the project was explored in the 1960s by BRGM and the airborne geophysics were done by BHP Billiton recently. BRGM produced a feasibility study report including mineral resources and reserves mining, processing, smelting, power generation and post.
The saleable canga direct ore (Hematite) was estimated at 20 million tons. The gravity and magnetic survey by BHP Billiton deliniates the iron ore which is estimated at 500Mt to a billion tons. Our recent geological field work has identified more canga and hematite ore .
